CS TRAVEL GUIDE: AMALFI COAST

CS TRAVEL GUIDE: AMALFI COAST

One word to describe the Amalfi Coast - LUXURIOUS. I had the opportunity to spend two weeks on the Amalfi Coast & Capri, Italy with my daughter Lyra and really explore the best of the best on the island. From the charming town of Positano, yachting around the magical caves of Capri days, the surreal sunsets, to the yummiest pasta ever!

Below is a full breakdown of my Amalfi’s Must Experiences:

Where to Stay:
Le Agave Hotel in Positano is my fav. Situated in a prime ocean-front location, the views from our room were absolutely stunning. The staff was amazing and personable. We stayed in one of their luxury suites with our own terrace and ocean view. Every morning from our terrace, we enjoyed a delish breakfast of fresh fruits and homemade pastries. We spent a few days at their beach club where you can take a dip straight into the ocean.

Some other highlights of Positano:

Cooking Class: We did an amazing cooking class at Casa Mele making our own fresh homemade pasta, zucchini flowers, and chocolate lava cake. This was a great experience with my daughter as she loves to cook and we are both foodies. Sooo good.

Beach Clubs:

Amalfi Coast is all about beach clubs. We spent the day at Villa Trevilla. This was my fav experience. We took a water taxi from our hotel directly to their port. Had the best pizza and Rose’ in Amalfi. We rented beach chairs for the day. The beaches are made of rocks, which was very grounding but not the most comfortable for your feet.

Our hotel concierge was able to secure us a table for dinner at the Rada Beach Club Rooftop restaurant. Dinner was a beautiful, exquisite dining experience with the best views. They have a lounge and a club to enjoy after dinner.

Shopping:

In town, there are so many local shops with luxurious handmade linen dresses, jewelry, and custom leather sandals. Our fav store was Luisa where we purchased beautiful linen dresses.

Lemon slushy is so refreshing as the weather in Positano was extremely hot around 90 degrees

Capri Must Experiences:

We stayed at the iconic Quisana Hotel - the most famous hotel in Capri. The location is so central and close to all the best restaurants and shopping. The pool is an experience in itself and cocktails before dinner at their famous outdoor lounge.

Rent a yacht for the day and explore the Island - the heart Cave was my fav. We had the yummiest lunch at the port before we left.

My fav restaurants - Aurora, Villa Verde, and Il Geradinio. The fresh branzino, lobster pasta, spaghetti with tomato sauce, linguini with clams, fried calamari, and shrimp were the best.

Shopping:
The shopping in Capri is world-renowed from Chanel to local handmade artisans. We lucked up as the Euro and Dollar were at an equal exchange. Recommend getting your tax back at the airport.
